Grown high in the mist-covered mountains of central Taiwan, Alishan Oolong is one of the world's most celebrated high-mountain teas. Cool temperatures, frequent fog, and slower-growing conditions allow the leaves to develop remarkable depth and complexity.
The first sip is gentle. Floral notes of jasmine and gardenia mingle with hints of stone fruit, while a smooth, creamy texture lingers long after each cup. Very little bitterness. A naturally sweet finish that stays.
What makes this tea especially fitting for our first journey is how closely it reflects the landscape it comes from. The experience is soft, layered, and unhurried. Like the mountain roads that wind through Alishan's forests, the flavors reveal themselves gradually.
This is not a tea that demands attention. It's a tea that rewards it.
How to steep: Heat water to 195°F. Use about 1 tbsp of leaves per cup, steep 2–3 minutes. Re-steeps four times. Use filtered or spring water.
